ITINERARY
Day 1: Fri. Sep 5 – HONOLULU: Depart Honolulu
Enjoy your journey through the skies and prepare for the wonderful adventure that awaits you in Japan.
Day 2: Sat. Sep 6 – AIR TERMINAL HOTEL
Welcome to Japan! After arriving at Chitose Airport in Hokkaido. After completing immigration procedures, we check-in to our hotel connecting to the Airport. Put your feet up, relax, and get ready for the Autumn Hokkaido tour.
Day 3: Sun. Sep 7 – OMO7 ASAHIKAWA or Similar
Start the day by visiting the Northern Horse Park, which offers a variety of activities, having fun with horses, enjoying nature and a pony show, learning about horses and feeding at a stable. After that, stop by the Sunagawa Highway Oasis, a highway rest area, for bathroom breaks and shops. After check-in, the guide will take the group for a walk around the neighborhood.
Day 4: Mon. Sep 8 – OMO7 ASAHIKAWA
After checking out from the hotel, take the Asahidake Ropeway to the highest point of the mountains, and we can enjoy an air walk with wide panoramic views from the highest peak of Hokkaido. Then, stop by the Otokoyama Sake Brewery and learn about the traditional Japanese Sake-making process. This is one of the most famous sake brands in Japan and is popular in North America as well. After check-in, the guide will take the group for a walk around the neighborhood
Day 5: Tue. Sep 9 – SURFEEL HOTEL WAKKANAI
This morning, we'll head to Wakkanai. Along the way, we'll visit the Bifuka Sturgeon Museum located in the town of Bifuka. It maintains eight species of sturgeon and was established to protect and preserve them. We can learn about the different species of sturgeon and their habitats at the museum. After that, we'll explore Wakkanai's renowned Seafood market, which offers a variety of local products such as kelp and scallops. Following our visit to the market, we'll check into our hotel to unwind and prepare for the next day. The evening will be capped off with a delightful Kaiseki dinner.
Day 6: Wed. Sep 10 – LAKE SAROMA TSURUGA RESORT (ONSEN)
We'll begin by visiting Wakkanai Park, where the Karafuto Island Memorial Monument, known as the "Gate of Ice and Snow," is located. Let us all come together to pray for world peace. Next, we'll head to Cape Soya (Sōya-misaki), the northernmost point of the island of Hokkaido. It is in Wakkanai, Sōya Subprefecture and is a popular stopping point for bikers and visitors. The area has monuments, gift shops, a windmill, and a unique delta cone-shaped monument to Japan's Northernmost Point. Next, enjoy the drive from Cape Soya to Monbetsu, which is a popular route in Hokkaido. Finally, visit The Okhotsk Tokkari Center located in Monbetsu. It is a shelter for injured seals rescued from the Okhotsk Sea and visitors can observe them up close. After enjoying our day out we will go back to the hotel. At the hotel you will be able to enjoy a hot spring bath.
Day 7: Thu. Sep 11 – SHIRETOKO DAIICHI HOTEL (ONSEN)
Start the day by heading over to Lake Notoro, an oval lake located in Abashiri, the 13th-largest lake in Japan. During certain times of the year, Lake Notoro is home to a large expanse of glasswort community, also known as coral grass, which turns deep red and creates a crimson carpet. We can take a leisurely stroll through this mysterious wonder on a wooden walking path.Next, let's head to the Okhotsk Sea Ice Museum. Here, you can visit the real ice experience room, kept at minus 5 degrees Fahrenheit, where actual sea ice is displayed, allowing you to experience the harsh winter of the Okhotsk region.Next, move to “Oshinkoshin Falls,” a spectacular waterfall located in Japan's Shiretoko National Park. It was designated as one of Japan's best 100 waterfalls and is also known as Twin Beauties Waterfall due to the way it splits into two parts about halfway down. After enjoying our day out we will go back to the hotel. At the hotel you will be able to enjoy a hot spring bath.
Day 8: Fri. Sep 12 – SHIRETOKO DAIICHI HOTEL (ONSEN)
We'll start the day by heading to the Shiretoko Peninsula to explore the wildlife that calls Shiretoko home. We'll embark on a Shiretoko Sightseeing Cruise along the peninsula, taking a boat to the tip of the peninsula to understand why the Ainu people referred to it as the "end of the world."Following the cruise, we'll visit The Shiretoko National Park Nature Center, which provides information on the charms of Shiretoko, a designated World Natural Heritage site in Japan. Here, we'll have the opportunity to admire majestic landscapes adorned with natural wonders and ancient volcanoes.To conclude our day of exploration, we'll visit The Shiretoko Five Lakes, nestled amidst primeval forests against the backdrop of the Shiretoko Mountain Range. These lakes were formed long ago by the eruption of nearby Mt. Io and are fed by underground springs.After a fulfilling day, we will return to the hotel for a relaxing evening.

Day 9: Sat. Sep 13 – KUSSHARO PRINCE HOTEL (ONSEN)
Depart from the hotel and enjoy the drive from the Shiretoko Peninsula to Shibetsu, a scenic route that takes travelers through stunning landscapes and offers views of the Sea of Okhotsk. Next, visit Shibetsu Salmon Park. Shibetsu town is known for its salmon delicacies and stunning sceneries, and the name itself means "place with many salmon" in the language of the Ainu. After enjoying our day out we will go back to the hotel. After hotel check-in, relax and get ready for the next day.
Day 10: Sun. Sep 14 – SAHORO RESORT HOTEL (ONSEN)
This morning, let's visit the Kushiro City Museum, where you can explore a wide range of exhibits related to Kushiro's nature, culture, and heritage.Additionally, there are numerous displays related to the Ainu culture. Next, we will visit The Kushiro Washo Market. It is ranked as one of the three famous markets of Hokkaido. Stalls in this indoor market sell fresh and processed seafood, meat and vegetables as well as souvenirs. Here you can enjoy "Kattedon", a personalizable seafood donburi: after purchasing a bowl of rice, you add small portions of seafood of your choice on top of the rice. Seasonal seafood like crabs can also be enjoyed cooked in the market.After enjoying our day out we will go back to the hotel. At the hotel you will be able to enjoy a hot spring bath.(Lunch will be at your own expense.)
Day 11 Mon. Sep 15 – OTARU GRAND PARK
Start the day by visiting the Sapporo Beer Museum. Visitors can learn the history and production of Sapporo Beer, one of Japan's most popular brands of beer. Next, head over to Sapporo Central Wholesale Market, a popular market in Hokkaido where seasonal ingredients are gathered. The market is home to sushi bars and other eateries that serve products straight from the port at reasonable prices. After enjoying our day out we will go back to the hotel.The hotel is surrounded by a marina, creating a serene location where you can enjoy leisurely strolls and shopping. take your time to relax and unwind.
Note: Depending on the timing of our return flight, we may need to adjust the schedule for our visit to the Sapporo Central Wholesale Market and possibly replace it with other activities.
Day 12: Tue. Sep 16 – OTARU GRAND PARK
Depart from the hotel to Yoichi. First, visit the "Kakizaki Shoten”, a seafood store known for its fresh catch. If the weather permits, visitors can take a walk along the Otaru Canal and Shopping street, a historic waterway that passes through a charming neighborhood with some historic buildings. After check-in, enjoy going for a walk around the neighborhood.(Dinner will be at your own expense.)
Day 13: Wed. Sep 17 – HOKKAIDO-HONOLULU
At checkout time the guide will come to tape and tie-up the boxes and take the baggage to the airport. After check-out we will head to Chitose International Airport to Haneda International Airport then transfer to Honolulu. We will arrive at Honolulu in the same morning. (Lunch and dinner will be at your own expense.)

NOTE:
Children under 7 years old will receive a 50% discount on the travel fare when traveling.
Children under 12 years old will receive a 30% discount on the travel fare when traveling.
In both cases mentioned above, if an extra bed is required, it will be charged at the regular rate.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
45 days prior to departure – Full refund
44-30 days prior: 50% cancel fee of the tour price, per person charge
29-15 days prior: 75% cancel fee of the tour price, per person charge
14 days prior or less: 100% cancel fee of the tour price, per person, no refund.
GENERAL CONDITIONS TOUR INCLUDES:
Hotel accommodations, transfers, and sightseeing. Adjustments will be made if there is an increase in fuel surcharges and any fluctuation in exchange rates between US Dollars and Japanese Yen.
AIR TRANSPORTATION:
Air service within tours is included except for people buying the land portion only.
Airfare inclusive rates are based on advanced purchase and may be subject to certain airline restrictions and penalties. Adjustments will be made if there is any increase on taxes.
PASSPORTS:
All clients are reminded that a valid passport is necessary in all cases.
The cost of obtaining these documents will be the responsibility of the traveler.
The organizer assumes no responsibility whatsoever, should a client, for any reason be refused entry into any particular country, and the subsequent costs entailed will have to be met by the traveler in accordance with obligations that the organizer has in virtue of the contracts held with third parties.Passport must be valid within 6 months at time of departure.A photocopy of your passport is required for all tours.
IF THE TOUR OPERATOR CANCELS:
Should RNL Tours, LLC. cancel a departure for any reason, your money will be fully refunded.
CHANGES IN ITINERARIES:
RNL Tours, LLC. will make every effort to operate all tours as disclosed in this document.
However, circumstances may arise which would require an adjustment to the tour. We will however do all that is possible to avoid such changes, but we must reserve the right to make such modifications if they are determined to be necessary
