Day 1: Fri. Sep 26 – HONOLULU: Depart HONOLULU
Enjoy your journey through the skies and prepare for the wonderful adventure that awaits you in Japan.
Day 2: Sat. Sep 27 – HOTEL MARINOA RESORT FUKUOKA or Similar
Welcome to Japan! After arriving at Fukuoka Airport. After completing immigration procedures, we check-in to our hotel. Put your feet up, relax, and get ready for the Kyushu Resort tour.
Day 3: Sun. Sep 28 – HOTEL MARINOA RESORT FUKUOKA or Similar
Today, let's explore the historic district of Hakata, the vibrant heart of Fukuoka City. We’ll begin with a visit to Kushida Shrine, known for blessings of good relationships, business prosperity, marital harmony, and longevity. Admire the impressive Yamakasa, vibrantly decorated one-ton floats, up close. Next, we’ll visit the Hakata Machiya Folk Museum, where you can experience the lifestyle, culture, and traditions of Hakata during the Meiji and Taisho periods. Afterward, enjoy shopping at Kawabata Shopping Arcade, Hakata’s oldest shopping street, featuring over 130 shops blending tradition and modernity.After a day of exploration, we’ll return to the hotel to relax and prepare for tomorrow.
Day 4: Mon. Sep 29 – KARATSU SEASIDE RESORT (Onsen)
This morning, we will visit HakuHaku, a museum produced by the renowned mentaiko brand "Fukuya." Explore exhibits on food culture, learn about mentaiko, and shop for unique items. Next, we’ll visit Ichiran no Mori in Itoshima, where Ichiran’s famous natural tonkotsu ramen is produced. The "secret sauce" and broth are prepared here and delivered daily to Ichiran locations worldwide. Inside the facility, you'll find exhibits showcasing the history of Ichiran and the tools used for ramen making.Following that, we’ll visit Karatsu Castle, also known as "Maizuru Castle" (Dancing Crane Castle) for its pine forest resembling a crane’s wings. From the observation deck, enjoy panoramic views of the Genkai-nada Sea and the surrounding forest.Tonight's hotel features a hot spring, so after checking in, take the opportunity to relax and prepare for tomorrow’s journey.
Day 5: Tue. Sep 30 – HOTEL NEW OTANI SAGA or Similar
This morning, we will visit Yobuko Town, famous for its squid fishing and the Yobuko Morning Market, a 100-year-old tradition. Enjoy warm interactions with local vendors selling their goods face-to-face. Next, we’ll take a boat to Nanatsugama (Seven Caves), natural formations created by the powerful waves of the Genkai-nada Sea eroding the basalt cliffs, offering a stunning view of nature’s wonders.
We’ll then head to see Arita Porcelain, Japan’s oldest ceramic ware, which originated about 400 years ago. Since the early Edo period, Arita porcelain became a key export via the Dutch East India Company. Meeting the demands of overseas markets spurred technical innovations, leading to the remarkable development of Arita’s unique craftsmanship.After a day of exploration, we will return to the hotel to relax and prepare for tomorrow’s adventures.
Day 6: Wed. Oct 1 – THE NEW HOTEL KUMAMOTO
This morning, we’ll head to Kurume City to visit Mori no Kura, a sake brewery founded in 1898. Blessed by the fertile lands along the Chikugo River, this unique brewery specializes in producing only junmai sake. Enjoy tasting and shopping for their finest selections. Next, we’ll travel to Yanagawa, a former castle town and a famous destination known as the "Water Town." Its historic waterways date back to the Sengoku period (1467–1615), a time of civil war in Japanese history, when they were originally constructed for defense. Hop aboard a traditional "donko-bune" boat and cruise through the canals, enjoying the weeping willows, seasonal flowers, and charming white-walled townscape from the water. Then, we’ll visit the Tabaruzaka Seinan Civil War Museum, dedicated to the Seinan War, a key conflict that marked the end of the samurai era and laid the foundation for modern Japan. The museum features dioramas recreating the battles, as well as displays of weapons, swords, and bullets recovered from the battlefield. After a fulfilling day, we’ll relax at a hotel near Kumamoto Station to unwind and prepare for tomorrow.
Day 7: Thu. Oct 2 – HOTEL ALEGRIA GARDENS AMAKUSA (Onsen)
Today, we’ll visit Amakusa, a beautiful archipelago of over 120 islands surrounded by blue seas. We’ll begin with fruit picking, enjoying freshly grown fruits cultivated in Amakusa’s warm climate and mineral-rich environment. These juicy fruits are nurtured with underground water rich in minerals. Next, we’ll explore the Amakusa Pearl Garden, home to restaurants, pearl specialty shops, and souvenir stores offering local seafood and crafts. Take in the scenic beauty of Amakusa while enjoying its unique offerings. We’ll then visit the Amakusa Christian Museum, highlighting the history of Hidden Christians in this UNESCO World Heritage region. Learn about the Christian missionary activity from the late 16th century and see artifacts like fumi-e and Maria Kannon statues. Tonight, relax at a hotel with a hot spring to prepare for tomorrow’s adventures.
Day 8: Fri. Oct 3 – THE NEW HOTEL KUMAMOTO
This morning, we’ll visit Misumi West Port, part of the “Sites of Japan’s Meiji Industrial Revolution,” designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2015. As one of Japan’s three major ports built during the Meiji era, it remains in its original form, a rare and precious example of 19th-century port construction. The port features intricately shaped stones and unique curves not typically seen in Japanese architecture at the time. Next, we’ll head to Sakura-no-Baba Josaien, located near Kumamoto Castle, the iconic symbol of Kumamoto. Explore the region’s rich food culture, history, and traditions while enjoying the charm of the castle and its surrounding townscape. Those who wish may also visit Kumamoto Castle itself. Afterward, we’ll visit Suizenji Jojuen, a stunning daimyo garden built by the Hosokawa family. This serene, circular stroll garden is centered around a spring-fed pond with water from Mount Aso and offers a tranquil setting for a leisurely walk. After a fulfilling day, we’ll return to the hotel to relax and prepare for tomorrow.
Day 9: Sat. Oct 4 – GRAND MERCURE BEPPU BAY RESORT & SPA (Onsen)
This morning, we’ll visit Rakuno Mothers Aso Milk Ranch, a farm where you can enjoy the natural beauty of Aso. Indulge in freshly made ice cream and interact with animals in the open petting area. If the timing is right, you may also see 1.5 million cosmos flowers in bloom. Next, we’ll head to the Kokonoe Yume Otsurihashi, Japan's tallest pedestrian suspension bridge. Measuring 1,279 feet in length, 567 feet in height, and 5 feet in width, the bridge offers breathtaking views. From the top, enjoy sights like Shindonotaki Falls, one of Japan's top 100 waterfalls. Tonight, we’ll stay at a hotel supplied by the renowned Beppu Onsen, the largest hot spring area in Japan, where you can relax and unwind for the next two nights.
Day 10: Sun. Oct 5 – GRAND MERCURE BEPPU BAY RESORT & SPA (Onsen)
This morning, we’ll visit the Beppu Bamboo Crafts Traditional Hall, which showcases the artistry of bamboo craftsmanship using madake bamboo, a variety for which Oita is Japan’s top producer. Dating back to the Muromachi period, Beppu bamboo crafts are renowned for their intricate handwoven techniques, called amigurumi, recognized as a traditional Japanese craft by the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry. Next, we’ll visit Umi Jigoku (Sea Hell), the largest of Beppu’s famous “hells,” a series of stunning hot springs. This cobalt-blue pool is strikingly clear and beautiful, yet its water temperature reaches nearly 100°C (212°F). Marvel at the surreal sight of steam rising above the surface, creating a magical and otherworldly atmosphere.
Day 11 Mon. Oct 6 – RIHGA ROYAL HOTEL KOKURA
This morning, we’ll head to the Kyushu Natural Animal Park African Safari, Japan’s largest safari park, home to around 1,400 animals from 70 species. From the safety of a bus, observe lions, elephants, giraffes, and other fascinating wildlife up close. Next, we’ll visit the Kitakyushu Museum of Natural History & Human History, where you can explore animals from over 100 million years ago. The museum features exhibits tracing the journey of life on Earth, from its origins to the present day. It boasts one of Japan’s largest collections of natural and historical artifacts, including impressive dinosaur skeletons and dynamic dioramas of moving dinosaurs, making it a paradise for dinosaur enthusiasts. After a fulfilling day, we’ll return to the hotel to relax, unpack souvenirs, and unwind for the evening.
Day 12: Tue. Oct 7 – RIHGA ROYAL HOTEL KOKURA
This morning, we’ll head to Karato Market, a bustling hub of trade and culture at the gateway between Honshu and Kyushu. Thanks to its location as a key point for land and sea routes, this market has flourished as a center for fugu (pufferfish) as well as other seafood like sea bream and yellowtail. Next, enjoy some final shopping at a shopping mall or Don Quijote, where you can pick up souvenirs and gifts before the journey home. Afterward, return to the hotel to prepare for tomorrow’s departure. (Lunch and dinner will be at your own expense.) Note: Optional activities, such as visiting the TOTO Museum or Kokura Castle, can be arranged depending on weather and itinerary adjustments.
Day 13: Wed. Oct 8 – FUKUOKA-HONOLULU
At checkout time the guide will come to tape and tie-up the boxes and take the baggage to the airport. After check-out we will head to Fukuoka Airport to Haneda International Airport then transfer to Honolulu. We will arrive at Honolulu in the same morning. (Lunch and dinner will be at your own expense.)

CANCELLATION POLICY:
45 days prior to departure – Full refund
44-30 days prior: 50% cancel fee of the tour price, per person charge
29-15 days prior: 75% cancel fee of the tour price, per person charge
14 days prior or less: 100% cancel fee of the tour price, per person, no refund.
GENERAL CONDITIONS TOUR INCLUDES:
Hotel accommodations, transfers, and sightseeing. Adjustments will be made if there is an increase in fuel surcharges and any fluctuation in exchange rates between US Dollars and Japanese Yen.
AIR TRANSPORTATION:
Air service within tours is included except for people buying the land portion only.
Airfare inclusive rates are based on advanced purchase and may be subject to certain airline restrictions and penalties. Adjustments will be made if there is any increase on taxes.
PASSPORTS:
All clients are reminded that a valid passport is necessary in all cases.
The cost of obtaining these documents will be the responsibility of the traveler.
The organizer assumes no responsibility whatsoever, should a client, for any reason be refused entry into any particular country, and the subsequent costs entailed will have to be met by the traveler in accordance with obligations that the organizer has in virtue of the contracts held with third parties.Passport must be valid within 6 months at time of departure.A photocopy of your passport is required for all tours.
IF THE TOUR OPERATOR CANCELS:
Should RNL Tours, LLC. cancel a departure for any reason, your money will be fully refunded.
CHANGES IN ITINERARIES:
RNL Tours, LLC. will make every effort to operate all tours as disclosed in this document.
However, circumstances may arise which would require an adjustment to the tour. We will however do all that is possible to avoid such changes, but we must reserve the right to make such modifications if they are determined to be necessary
