ITINERARY

Day 1: Thu. Mar 6 – HONOLULU: Depart Honolulu
Enjoy your journey through the skies and prepare for the wonderful adventure that awaits you in Japan. 

Day 2: Fri. Mar 7 – HOTEL NIKKO KANSAI AIRPORT 
Welcome to Japan! Upon arrival at either Kansai International Airport, complete the immigration procedures. After checking in at the hotel, take some time to unwind and prepare for the upcoming day. Put your feet up, relax, and get ready for the DISCOVER KII PENINSULA TOUR. 

Day 3: Sat. Mar 8 – WAKAYAMA MARINA CITY HOTEL 
This morning, we'll embark on a journey to explore Yayoi Culture at the Osaka Prefectural Yayoi Culture Museum, a unique institution dedicated to this period. The Yayoi era marked the introduction of rice cultivation in Japan and offers intriguing insights into the country's history and lifestyle during this crucial time. Following our visit, we'll head to the Kishiwada Danjiri Museum. Here, you'll be immersed in the rich history of the Kishiwada Danjiri Festival, which boasts a 300-year legacy. The museum's event area showcases authentic danjiri floats, and a 27-panel multi screen brings the festival's vibrancy to life with captivating reenactments. After a day of exploration, we'll head to the hotel nestled within Wakayama Marina. It's a perfect base for exploring the marina, enjoying the nearby onsen, and visiting the fish market, all within walking distance. 

Day 4: Sun. Mar 9 – SHIRAHAMA COGANOI RESORT & SPA (Onsen) 
Today, our journey commences as we set our sights on Nanki Shirahama, a coastal haven in Wakayama Prefecture. Wakayama is renowned for its exquisite fruits, and we have a delightful fruit-picking experience awaiting us.Following our fruity adventure, we'll venture to Yuasa, the birthplace of soy sauce and one of Japan's finest condiments. At the Soy Sauce Brewery, you'll witness the traditional soy sauce-making process and get up close to the fascinating wooden barrels used in fermentation. Weather permitting, we'll make a stop at the Shirasaki Ocean Park Observation Deck. This location is often likened to the Aegean Sea due to its striking white cliffs contrasting with the cobalt blue sea. After a day filled with exploration and discovery, we'll head to our hotel in Nanki Shirahama. Unwind in the soothing hot springs, a perfect opportunity to relax and prepare for the adventures that await us tomorrow.

 Day 5: Mon. Mar 10 – SHIRAHAMA COGANOI RESORT & SPA (Onsen) 
Today, we embark on an exciting adventure as we head to Adventure World, a one-of-a-kind theme park that's home to an astounding variety of animals—140 species, to be exact—and over 1,400 individual animals. This park offers an incredible opportunity to connect with wildlife from around the globe. From the adorable pandas to the majestic elephants and the playful penguins, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Don't forget to catch one of the thrilling dolphin shows—it's a real crowd-pleaser. After our exhilarating visit to Adventure World, our journey takes us to a place where flavors come alive, a best Ume factory. Here, we'll delve into the world of Kishu Nanko Ume plums, a variety that proudly represents Wakayama, Japan's top plum-producing region. These plums are known for their generous size and succulent flesh, and when transformed into umeboshi (pickled plums), they become tender and melt in your mouth. As the day winds down, we'll return to our starting point, the same hotel where our adventure began. It's the perfect opportunity to unwind, soak in the day's experiences, and prepare for the adventures that await us tomorrow. 

Day 6: Tue. Mar 11 – MERCURE WAKAYAMA KUSHIMOTO RESORT AND SPA (Onsen) 
This morning, we'll make our way to Senjojiki, a remarkable natural wonder. Covering approximately 4 hectares, this massive rock formation consists of sandstone that has been eroded by the crashing waves of the Paific Ocean, creating a landscape that resembles a floor covered with thousands of tatami mats, hence its name, which means "a thousand tatami mats." Our next destination is the Toretore Ichiba Nanki Shirahama, the largest seafood market in western Japan. Operated by the local fishing cooperative, you can expect impeccable freshness and reasonable prices here. The market offers a wide variety of seafood from around the country, along with Wakayama's local specialties. Indulge in a seafood bowl and savor the bounties of the sea. Finally, we'll head to our hotel, located in Kushimoto, the southernmost town on the mainland of Japan. It's a serene location that provides an excellent opportunity to unwind and reflect on the day's adventures. 

Day 7: Wed. Mar 12 – MIYAKO RESORT SHIMA BAY SIDE TERRACE (Onsen) or Similar 
This morning, our journey begins with a visit to Hashigui Iwa, the Bridge-Piling Rocks. These unique and awe-inspiring natural rock formations along the coast are a sight to behold. Next, we'll head to the Whale Museum. Inside the museum, you'll find a wealth of exhibits related to whales and whaling. This includes whale skeleton specimens, traditional whaling tools, dioramas depicting historic whaling practices, and models of modern whaling harpoons and catcher boats. It's a comprehensive exploration of the world of whales and the history of whaling in this town. After our museum visit, we'll make our way to the Kumano Kodo Center. This center serves as a gateway to the Kumano Kodo, a UNESCO World Heritage-listed network of ancient pilgrimage trails. It's a unique opportunity to connect with the natural beauty, history, and culture associated with these historic routes.NOTE:(Regarding Nachi Falls, we are considering a visit, but the decision will be based on the day's itinerary and conditions due to the considerable walking distance and the presence of steep slopes.) After a day full of exploration and cultural immersion, we will retreat to the comfort of our hotel. 

Day 8: Thu. Mar 13 – MIYAKO RESORT SHIMA BAY SIDE TERRACE (Onsen) or Similar
Today, our journey begins at Yokoyama Observatory, a stunning vantage point overlooking Ago Bay, a prime example of a ria coast. From the wood-themed deck terrace, the beautiful, intricate coastline unfolds before your eyes, its vastness overwhelming and awe-inspiring.Next, we will venture to a charming ama hut, located close to the fishing grounds. An ama hut serves as a frontline base for the local female divers. Here, surrounded by traditional irori hearths, you can experience the fresh seafood caught by the ama divers, grilled over charcoal. This is your chance to indulge in the delicacies of Ise-Shima and immerse yourself in the rich ama culture, gaining a firsthand understanding of their way of life and traditions.After a day full of exploration and cultural immersion, we will retreat to the comfort of our hotel. 

Day 9: Fri. Mar 14 – HOTEL VISON (Onsen) 
This morning, our journey begins with a visit to Meoto-iwa (Wedded Rocks), two massive rocks firmly bound together by a sacred Shimenawa rope. These rocks are not only a symbol of marriage but also renowned as a symbol of matchmaking for couples. Next, we'll head to Mikimoto Pearl Island. Established in 1893, it was here that Mr. Kokichi Mikimoto achieved the world's first successful pearl cultivation. The island features a Pearl Museum where you can learn everything about pearls, a memorial hall that introduces the life of the Pearl King, and the Pearl Plaza, which includes shops and restaurants. You can also witness demonstrations by Ama divers, the traditional female pearl divers. To conclude our day, we'll head to a hotel that seamlessly combines a resort experience with commercial facilities. This hotel offers breathtaking views of the abundant nature surrounding the area. It's the perfect place to unwind and soak in the serene atmosphere for the next two nights.Tonight's dinner is planned to be Sukiyaki made with Matsusaka beef. This is an exquisite dining experience that you won't find elsewhere, and it promises to be a moment of pure indulgence. 

Day 10: Sat. Mar 15 – HOTEL VISON (Onsen) 
This morning, our journey begins with a visit to the Matsusaka Handwoven Cotton Center. Matsusaka cotton is celebrated for its naturally dyed indigo striped patterns, captivating the fashionable hearts of Edo-era commoners, even amidst clothing regulations. It's remarkable that this cotton reportedly sold around 500,000 rolls of fabric annually in Edo, a city of one million. Following this, we'll make our way to the revered Ise Jingu, a shrine with a history dating back nearly 2,000 years. It stands as an emblem of Japan's spirit and holds a unique sense of sacredness, touching all who visit. En route, we'll also explore Okage Yokocho, a charming recreation of buildings from the Edo to Meiji eras along the Ise Pilgrimage Route. With over 50 shops offering local gourmet delights, specialty products, and Ise-themed souvenirs, you'll have the freedom to wander and immerse yourself in the local culture. After these enriching experiences, we'll return to the same hotel for the second night. It's a chance to unwind, recharge, and prepare for the adventures that await us tomorrow. 

Day 11: Sun. Mar 16 – NAGOYA MARRIOTT ASSOCIA HOTEL 
This morning, we head to Seki-juku in Kameyama City, Mie Prefecture, renowned for preserving its Edo-period streetscape. With over 200 traditional townhouses, it’s a designated National Important Preservation District. Walking through Seki-juku is like a journey back in time, offering a vivid glimpse of historical Japan.Next, we visit Kirin Beer Factory. It's a special experience at the Kirin Beer Factory where you can discover the secrets behind the deliciousness of Kirin Ichiban Shibori beer.We then check into our hotel near the station, ideally positioned for dining and shopping, allowing you to enjoy the evening exploring local flavors and experiences at your leisure.

Day 12: Mon. Mar 17 – NAGOYA MARRIOTT ASSOCIA HOTEL 
This morning, we'll visit SCMAGLEV and Railway Park, a museum dedicated to the evolution of Japanese high-speed rail. Here, you can explore exhibits from steam locomotives to superconducting maglev trains, focusing on the Shinkansen and the advancements in rail technology. Afterward, we'll make our way to the Aeon Shopping Mall for lunch and some shopping. Later, we'll return to the hotel for relaxation and to prepare for tomorrow's flight.(Lunch and dinner will be at your own expense.) 

Day 13: Tue. Mar 18 – NAGOYA to HONOLULU 
At checkout time the guide will come to tape and tie-up the boxes and take the baggage to the airport. After check-out we will head to Chubu Centrair International Airport, and board flight # to Honolulu. We will arrive at Honolulu in the same morning. (Lunch and dinner will be at your own expense.)

CANCELLATION POLICY:
45 days prior to departure – Full refund
44-30 days prior: 50% cancel fee of the tour price, per person charge
29-15 days prior: 75% cancel fee of the tour price, per person charge
14 days prior or less: 100% cancel fee of the tour price, per person, no refund.

GENERAL CONDITIONS TOUR INCLUDES:
Hotel accommodations, transfers, and sightseeing. Adjustments will be made if there is an increase in fuel surcharges and any fluctuation in exchange rates between US Dollars and Japanese Yen.

AIR TRANSPORTATION:
Air service within tours is included except for people buying the land portion only.
Airfare inclusive rates are based on advanced purchase and may be subject to certain airline restrictions and penalties. Adjustments will be made if there is any increase on taxes.

PASSPORTS:
All clients are reminded that a valid passport is necessary in all cases.
The cost of obtaining these documents will be the responsibility of the traveler.
The organizer assumes no responsibility whatsoever, should a client, for any reason be refused entry into any particular country, and the subsequent costs entailed will have to be met by the traveler in accordance with obligations that the organizer has in virtue of the contracts held with third parties.Passport must be valid within 6 months at time of departure.A photocopy of your passport is required for all tours.

IF THE TOUR OPERATOR CANCELS:
Should RNL Tours, LLC. cancel a departure for any reason, your money will be fully refunded.

CHANGES IN ITINERARIES:
RNL Tours, LLC. will make every effort to operate all tours as disclosed in this document.
However, circumstances may arise which would require an adjustment to the tour. We will however do all that is possible to avoid such changes, but we must reserve the right to make such modifications if they are determined to be necessary
