Today, we embark on an exciting adventure as we head to Adventure World, a one-of-a-kind theme park that's home to an astounding variety of animals—140 species, to be exact—and over 1,400 individual animals. This park offers an incredible opportunity to connect with wildlife from around the globe. From the adorable pandas to the majestic elephants and the playful penguins, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Don't forget to catch one of the thrilling dolphin shows—it's a real crowd-pleaser.
After our exhilarating visit to Adventure World, our journey takes us to a place where flavors come alive, a best Ume factory. Here, we'll delve into the world of Kishu Nanko Ume plums, a variety that proudly represents Wakayama, Japan's top plum-producing region. These plums are known for their generous size and succulent flesh, and when transformed into umeboshi (pickled plums), they become tender and melt in your mouth.
As the day winds down, we'll return to our starting point, the same hotel where our adventure began. It's the perfect opportunity to unwind, soak in the day's experiences, and prepare for the adventures that await us tomorrow.
Day 6: Sat. Jun 8 – HOTEL & RESORTS WAKAYAMA KUSHIMOTO (Onsen)

Following our aquatic adventure, we'll make our way to Senjojiki, a remarkable natural wonder. Covering approximately 4 hectares, this massive rock formation consists of sandstone that has been eroded by the crashing waves of the Pacific Ocean, creating a landscape that resembles a floor covered with thousands of tatami mats, hence its name, which means "a thousand tatami mats." Our next destination is the Toretore Ichiba Nanki Shirahama, the largest seafood market in western Japan. Operated by the local fishing cooperative, you can expect impeccable freshness and reasonable prices here. The market offers a wide variety of seafood from around the country, along with Wakayama's local specialties. Indulge in a seafood bowl and savor the bounties of the sea. Finally, we'll head to our hotel, located in Kushimoto, the southernmost town on the mainland of Japan. It's a serene location that provides an excellent opportunity to unwind and reflect on the day's adventures.
NOTE:(For those who cannot participate in the glass-bottom boat tour due to motion sickness concerns, we will make arrangements for nearby activities such as shopping.)
Day 7: Sun. Jun 9 – HOTEL VISON (Onsen)
This morning, our journey begins with a visit to Hashigui Iwa, the Bridge-Piling Rocks. These unique and awe-inspiring natural rock formations along the coast are a sight to behold.

It's a comprehensive exploration of the world of whales and the history of whaling in this town. After our museum visit, we'll make our way to the Kumano Kodo Center. This center serves as a gateway to the Kumano Kodo, a UNESCO World Heritage-listed network of ancient pilgrimage trails. NOTE:(Regarding Nachi Falls, we are considering a visit, but the decision will be based on the day's itinerary and conditions due to the considerable walking distance and the presence of steep slopes.)
Day 8: Mon. Jun 10 – HOTEL VISON (Onsen)
This morning, our journey begins with a visit to the Matsusaka Handwoven Cotton Center. Matsusaka cotton is celebrated for its naturally dyed indigo striped patterns, captivating the fashionable hearts of Edo-era commoners, even amidst clothing regulations. It's remarkable that this cotton reportedly sold around 500,000 rolls of fabric annually in Edo, a city of one million. Following this, we'll make our way to the revered Ise Jingu, a shrine with a history dating back nearly 2,000 years. It stands as an emblem of Japan's spirit and holds a unique sense of sacredness, touching all who visit.
En route, we'll also explore Okage Yokocho, a charming recreation of buildings from the Edo to Meiji eras along the Ise Pilgrimage Route. With over 50 shops offering local gourmet delights, specialty products, and Ise-themed souvenirs, you'll have the freedom to wander and immerse yourself in the local culture.
After these enriching experiences, we'll return to the same hotel for the second night. It's a chance to unwind, recharge, and prepare for the adventures that await us tomorrow.

These rocks are not only a symbol of marriage but also renowned as a symbol of matchmaking for couples.
Next, we'll head to Mikimoto Pearl Island. Established in 1893, it was here that Mr. Kokichi Mikimoto achieved the world's first successful pearl cultivation. The island features a Pearl Museum where you can learn everything about pearls, a memorial hall that introduces the life of the Pearl King, and the Pearl Plaza, which includes shops and restaurants. You can also witness demonstrations by Ama divers, the traditional female pearl divers.

This morning, we embarked on a one-hour ferry ride, taking our group from Toba City in Mie Prefecture to Irako in Aichi Prefecture. Upon arrival, our first delight was savoring the seasonal treat known as muskmelon. "Muskmelon" is a type of netted melon with yellow-green flesh, and it's renowned for its rich fragrance, reminiscent of musk, hence the name.
Following this, we had the opportunity to visit the craftsmen who have been practicing their art for over two centuries. They create high-quality brushes known as "Toyohashi Brushes," which hold the number one share nationwide. Every step of the process is carried out by skilled artisans, showcasing their remarkable craftsmanship.
While our inventory is limited, it's worth noting that our female travelers have the option to purchase these premium cosmetic brushes. Tonight, we'll be at a hotel right by the train station. Take some time to relax and prepare for tomorrow's adventures.

The heavy stones placed on top are natural river stones, carefully stacked one by one by skilled artisans. Next, we'll make our way to Maruishi Brewery. This renowned establishment, with a history dating back to 1690, has won the gold award at the National New Sake Appraisal for an impressive 11 times.
